Joe McLemore, 81, of Gainesville, VA, passed away on October 09, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with dementia.

Joe was born on May 10, 1941 . He was a force of nature, “ultimate cowboy” determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his children and family, selfless, and always tried his best to support them.


Joe was also a passionate cook, loved the Washington Redskins, and could often be found in the kitchen reminiscing of his days as a Chef. Anyone who knew Joe knew he was an animal lover. He was a loving father, husband, and a brother who will be dearly missed. Joe was predeceased by many beloved siblings,  and is survived by his sister Ruby.


The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Jones Funeral Home.
