Joe (Joshua) Rangel Guzman, 84 years of age, passed away on June 23, 2023 at 5:30 am at Sandy Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center. Joe spent many years volunteering in little league sports where he coached flag football, baseball, and softball for his kids as well as many other children in the community. He then continued in his passion of sports by playing in city leagues and weekend tournaments for baseball and softball where he won many city titles. He went on to own his own baseball field named Buena Vista Ball Park where he held many weekend tournaments. Joe eventually gave up softball to dedicate himself to the Lord. He gave his life to Jesus Christ and became a Christian, serving his church and community in the name of Jesus.He is survived by his spouse, DeAnne Guzman, daughters Lucy Wilson, Ruby Rodriguez, and Rosemary Ball and sons William Guzman, and Joe N. Guzman. A memorial service will be held at Bellaire Baptist Church located at 105 Clovis Pl, San Antonio, TX 78221 at 11:00 am on July 8, 2023.
