Personal note from HIS WIFE OF 21 YEARS, PARELEE

A LETTER FROM HIS WIFE PARELEE

I can’t believe that I am writing this. The love of my life has left me and gone home to be with the Lord. Words cannot even explain the emptiness that I feel right now. No one will ever know the love we shared and the wonderful life that we had.
Who could have imagined that you and I would be together? For a whole year we just talked on the phone and then I decided to let you take me out for coffee. Wow, 5 years together and eight proposals later, I finally said yes. Out of the many, many, many women you were associated with, you chose me!
On September 29, 2001, we were married, and we started to build our life as one.
You with the Temple-Aires and me with Touched by Grace. Wow, what a combination!
No one ever knew how Bible smart you were and deep in the word you were. No one ever knew how musically talented you really were and a great carpenter.
Baby and Black Sapphire, those were the nick names you gave me. How I would love to hear you call me that one more time.
How I will miss your hugs and kisses. Your encouragement and your protection. My heart is broken, and I am empty inside. There will never be another lover for me like you. I will miss your smile, your laughter, your wisdom and your corny jokes. I will miss you putting salt on everything before you taste it. I will miss your guitar playing and your singing.
When your legs don't work like they used to before and you can't sweep me off of my feet.
When your hair's all but gone and your memory fades, and the crowds don't remember your name
When your hands don't play the strings the same way, I know I will still love you the same
Most of all, I will miss your love and attention that you gave to me. I’m going to miss you, Joe Lee Jenkins. The love of my life!
Love you forever,
Your wife Pat,
Black Sapphire
Baby
