Jodi's obituary
JODI LYN JAMES, died unexpectedly in her home Saturday September 3rd 2022
Anyone who knew Jodi was fully aware she was the craziest of cat ladies. Her legacy will forever be her deep unconditional love for her animals.
Her heart and soul were forever bound to helping pregnant strays and orphaned kittens. She founded her organization Purrfect Furever Foster Adoptions and devoted all her time, energy, money, and most of her closets to every furry creature in need.
She helped birth, and bottle feed countless litters. Spending her days nurturing the healthy growth and development of every kitten in her care.
Then, there was her passion for jewelery making. She was truly gifted when it came to finding the perfect stone, and adorning it with the most brilliant settings. She had rallied beside her an entire community of wire wrapping enthusiasts and enjoyed sharing her love of all things beautiful with her devoted facebook following. Over the years her collection of materials, and her selection of finished pieces filled an entire room. She was always so proud of each and every completed project , especially unique orders for special occasions.
Jodi's other passions included , music of all genres, dancing at festivals and live shows, indulging in karaoke where she would always sing her favorites "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks and "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers. She enjoyed reading and could often be found sitting by the water, lost in a good book. She had a brilliant way with words, always writing her thoughts, conveying her deepest emotions, and using language as therapy. She believed that lyrics were the best way to reach people. Convinced that the right song had all the answers. She loved camping, bonfires, and exploring. She cherished days on the ocean, combing beaches, and wandering around the coast.
Jodi had a heart that was 10 times bigger than it should have been. There was nothing she wouldn't do, no mountain she wouldn't move to help someone in need. She was whatever someone needed at any given time, a shoulder , an ear, a rock, a safe harbor. Always spreading love and being a pillar of support to those around her. She will be remembered for her tenacity, her devotion to her children, her infectious smile, her gypsy Spirit and her hippy soul
Jodi was recently struck by overwhelming grief after the sudden death of her best friend Jared Fuller. His passing caused her a great deal of pain that she was never quite able to get passed. We find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with him, and pray that she has finally found the peace she had been so desperately seeking.
Jodi leaves behind her fiance Luke Fitzgerald. Son Dakota James and his fiance MacKenzie Kochis. Daughter Aspen James and boyfiend Ethan Quigley. Mother Lynne Dailey. Sister Jillian Carey and her husband Chris. Brother Tim Dailey Jr. and his girlfriend Jennifer Murdock. Nieces Lillian and Allison Dorval. As well as countless friends and faithful followers.
We ask that you please remember Jodi when you hear your favorite song. When you sit in the shade of a beautiful tree. Paint a rock. Climb a mountain. Put your feet in the ocean. Save a Stray. Correct someones grammar. Make a grilled Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich or dance under the stars.
In lieu of gifts/flowers please consider making a donation to your local animal shelter in Jodi's name.
