Jo's obituary
Joanne “Jo” Olivia Boedicker (Evers) of Shrewsbury, MO passed away unexpectedly, at the age of 74, on January 7th, 2022 surrounded by her loving husband, Donald “Don” Boedicker and her children; Brian (Amanda Caldwell) Boedicker, Deanna “Dede” Matthews (Jacque) and Kari Gahn (Joe).
Jo was born to Cornelius “Sarge” and Mildred “Millie” Evers (Leutkemeyer) in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was the eldest of their 11 children. She graduated from Rosati Kane high school in 1965. Jo and Don were high school sweethearts who married in 1968 and had their 3 children together.
Jo enjoyed helping out with her younger siblings as she grew up and took on a mentor role to them. She loved having children of her own and was very involved in their schools and scout programs. She even received the Juliette Low (Gold) award for her work with the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, traveling, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Jo is predeceased by her parents, and one sibling, John Evers (1962-2010).
She is survived by her husband, her three children, her dog Dottie, her grandchildren; Joseph Keeney, Candace Boedicker, Chelsea (Todd) Mueller, Dan Speckert, Eric (Alyssa) Speckert, Taylor Gahn, Georgia Gahn and Louis Gahn, her great-grandchildren, many siblings, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
