JoAnn Agcaoili Margallo

March 7, 1953 - December 1, 2023

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Drs. Felix and Lourdes Olivares Agcaoili, JoAnn moved to San Francisco at the age of six months. She attended Convent of the Sacred Heart Broadway from pre-school through high school, and went on to attend U.C. Davis and U.S.F.

She met her beloved Pierro in 1980, and they married in 1985. Their lives were blessed with their adored children, Alex and Nikki, as well as countless friends.

JoAnn loved to travel, eat great food, dance, attend music venues and Broadway shows. Ever the fashion plate, she rocked hats and berets, statement jewelry (especially rings), bold eyewear, colorful fashions and fun and funky shoes.  Her favorite pastime was going on adventures or simply doing nothing with her family, but she also delighted in spending time with friends. She took special enjoyment in introducing her friends to each other - she was delighted when she helped create new friendships.  Her exuberant spirit was irresistible, and her thoughtfulness and caring touched everyone who knew her.

She fought a very brave battle against cancer, and was extremely grateful to the amazing medical teams that helped her survive the last 22 months.

In addition to Pierro, Alex and Nikki, she is survived by her sister Jeanne Agcaoili Ancelet.
