JoAnn Stevens Baily, 83, of Merced, California passed away at home on July 17, 2025. Born in Stockton, Ca on November 23, 1941 JoAnn brought warmth and joy to those around her for nearly eight decades.

     JoAnn grew up in Linden, Ca where she attended school and was active in 4H and Rainbow Girls. A Passionate educator, JoAnn earned her B.A. from Sacramento State. She then spent more than 40 years teaching and impacting the lives of countless students. After retiring she enjoyed traveling to USC football games, going on cruises with her husband, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. 

     JoAnn is survived by her husband of 57 years John Baily, her children Julie Herman and Robert Baily, 8 grandchildren Tyler, Kacey, Aiden, Mason, Alexis, Adelyn, Russel, Kaylee and 1 great grandchild Kaidyn. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Evelyn Stevens and her brother Bob Stevens.

     A celebration of life will take place at Club Mercedes the 2nd week of August for friends and family. A private ceremony will take place at Santa Nella where she will be laid to rest.
