Bill, I will be coming with Laurie.  Morgan is sorry and rather upset. But he knows it would be foolish for him to attempt the trip at this stage of his recovery.  I am comfortable leaving him.  For me, it is essential to be with you and other family as we affirm our love for you and solidify our memories of Joan who was a magnificent ray of sunshine ALWAYS.

37 days are all that separated Joan and I, so I’ve literally known her my entire life. 

Words cannot express the hole in my heart right now, so I can’t even begin to fathom how Joan’s passing must be for you. I send all my love, a million hugs, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. 

I know she was greeted on the other side of the veil by all the family and friends who have gone before her, so she’s surrounded by love in heaven. I’m sure I will hear her giggles in a brook, feel her smile when the sun breaks through the clouds, and I have a ton of memories to bring me joy, but it’ll take me awhile before I’ll be able to listen to James Taylor or John Denver…

My long term friendship with Joan was 41 years… Met as young teenagers at Silver Bay and formed a strong friendship and bond since then… Our mutual love for Snoopy and the peanuts was practically a daily event through text or phone calls or photos, etc…blessed to have been at their wedding and sharing in the great life she built with Bill and her children and her church.

 her smile her laugh and compassion will be sorely missed… blessed to have had her in my life… Rest peacefully my dear friend… Love you
