Updates

Update from April 2, 2025

Some reminders/announcements for the April 6th service:

Joan’s Stones:
We’ve collected small stones from our backyard in Colorado and written Joan’s name on them. We want each person to have one as a keepsake for their garden or flowerpot.
We’d like to invite each person to bring a stone from their yard or a favorite place and we will have pens for you to write your name on it and leave for Joan’s memorial spot at Silver Bay.

Sharing:
Please consider words that you think describe Joan’s gifts and come prepared to write down a memory of Joan and your connection to her for our memory book. There will also be an opportunity to share memories verbally during the reception if desired.

Colorful:
Please consider wearing something teal or otherwise colorful to honor Joan as she liked that color.

Wind Ensemble:
If you are playing with us in the Wind Ensemble on 4/6 please try to come to the rehearsal on Saturday 4/5 from 9:30am to 10:15am if possible.
Arrive on Sunday 4/6 at 12:45pm (the service starts at 2:00pm).

Joan’s Mugs:
We will have Joan’s Rae Dunn mug collection at St. Luke’s on 4/6 and will invite anyone interested to take one home if you see one that “speaks” to you.

Prayer Cards:
We've created prayer cards to remember Joan by and will have those available to take home.

Streaming Link:
The YouTube livestream link will be posted h here on the memorial website but will not go live until about 5 minutes prior to the service.
