She was strategically strong, and eternally free- spirited.  She always managed to manage to survive through more than most can imagine  

She gave me the best brother, who brilliantly fused a relationship between us as adults that I cherish everyday. She passed peacefully, with her beloved animals by her side and hope in her heart.

She will be missed. She was a great friend to me for many years. Joan was truly a unique individual with a zest for life. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family.
