Joan Linda Barrett, born on December 7, 1948, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024. She was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother who impacted the lives of many with her kindness, strength, caring nature, and generosity.

Joan was a dedicated nurse for 32 years, a testament to her nurturing and compassionate spirit. She took time to enjoy the little things, always reminding her loved ones to do the same. Her nurturing nature, coupled with her calming demeanor and unwavering strength in the face of adversity, will continue to inspire all that knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Barrett. Her legacy also lives on through her devoted daughters, Trish Barlet and Sarah Barrett, as well as her son-in-laws Thomas Barlet and Ricky Hymel. Joan's love and lessons will continue to guide her grandchildren, Kaylee Barlet , Aubrey Moore (Ashton Moore) , and Alison Barlet.

Joan's memory will continue to live on through the lives she touched and the lessons she instilled. She was a beacon of love and kindness in everyone's life, and she will be dearly missed.

A memorial service to celebrate Joan's life and legacy will be held on July 6, 2024, at 11 AM at the Gilead Baptist Church. The family invites those who knew and loved Joan to gather in her memory, sharing stories, and celebrating a life beautifully lived.
