Jimmy's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Jimmy Scott, a man of unwavering strength and selfless love. Jimmy was born on the 28th of June, 1940 and peacefully passed away on the 9th of October, 2024.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas Scott, (Sherise)  his daughter, Dominique Richardson (Chris). His grandson, Christopher Scott, and granddaughter, Ariah Scott, and his cousin Lamont Jenkins are also left to cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his Aunt, Elizabeth Rogers.

A Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on the 26th of October, 2024, at 11:30am at the New Saint Mark Baptist Church. Jimmy was a man of simplicity and would have preferred for those mourning his loss to help those in need. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, funds are being raised for the "PTSD Foundation of America" and donations can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of….

Those who knew Jimmy will remember his friendly demeanor and his willingness to extend a helping hand to those in need. Being careful while driving was a lesson he often shared, drawing from his life experiences. One of his greatest accomplishments was paying off his house, a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of kindness and will be fondly remembered as a great neighbor. The kindness he showed others, the joy he brought to our lives, and the time he gave us, will truly be missed. We express our deepest gratitude for the life of Jimmy Scott and the beautiful memories he left us with.
