Jimmy Rains, born September 1, 1948, passed away on November 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Born to Charlie and Ruby Rains, Jimmy was one of six children, growing up alongside three sisters and two brothers. He spent many years working as a mechanic, a trade that matched his practical nature and steady hands.

Jimmy had four children: Christopher Rains and his significant other, Monica Grimes; Tony Rains and his wife, Bobbie; Jennifer Robnett and her husband, Dustin; and James Rains and his wife, Summer. He was also blessed with numerous grandchildren: Miranda Smith, Felicia Standsbury, Adrianne Nelson, Tabbetha Mauldin and her husband Jesse, Kristinna Gilmore, Cody Scogins and his wife Ariel, Alex Grimes, Cara Sepuledo, Ashley Beam and her husband Cory, Amber Sartor and her husband Alex, Drew Rains and his wife Lara, Brooke Gonzales and her husband Pedro, Dolph Culwell and his wife Cameron, Bristol Robnett, Caitlin Combs and her husband Jordan, and Dalton Rains and his wife Nicole, as well as 31 great-grandchildren.

Jimmy will be remembered in ways unique to those who knew him throughout different chapters of his life. His story, like all lives, holds moments and memories that remain with those who crossed paths with him.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Everett Baptist Church, 4191 FM 1398, Hooks, Texas 75561. Brother Ford will officiate services.
