It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmie Renea Thompson, a beloved mother, wife, sister in law and Granny Momma. Born on December 11, 1959, Renea was called to her eternal rest on March 13, 2024.
Renea was predeceased by her parents, Dorris Bolan and Jimmy Sapp, her son Little John Thompson, her father-in-law Frank Thompson, her mother-in-law Kathleen Thomas, and her beloved grandson, Joseph Rhett Thompson.
Renea is survived by her loving husband, Frank (Frankie) Joseph Thompson, and her cherished sons, Ben and Gabe Thompson, as well as her adored daughter, Hannah Steeples. Along with her devoted son-in-law Chris Steeples. She was a beacon of light in their lives, embodying the essence of love and care in every aspect.
Described by those close to her as funny, fiery, nurturing, and loving, Renea’s personality was one to be envied. Her care and dedication to her family were evident in all she did, and her role as a mother and grandmother stood out as her greatest accomplishments.
A celebration of Renea’s memorable life will be held on March 21, 2024, at approximately 5:15. PM with a graveside Service at the Red Hill Cemetery. We invite those who were touched by her life to join us in honoring her memory and saying our final goodbyes to a woman who was undoubtedly, the pillar of strength and love in our family. Anyone that would like to come early to love on the family are welcome to around 430.
