Jimmie's obituary
Jimmie Dean passed away suddenly on June 11, 2023, in Kansas City, Ks., at the age of 55. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on October 31, 1967 in Ottawa, Ks. He was the son of Debbie and Jimmie Dean.
The simplest pleasures in life brought him great joy. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most ordinary of life's circumstances.
Jimmie's memory will be forever cherished by the love of his life, best friend and wife, Melissa. He was a very proud husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He is survived by daughters Kaylee, Joselynn, Jordan, Makenzie and Aaliyah. Sons include Lawson and Azayah. Grandchildren include Dj, Zakenya, Octavian, Kenzo, Kinsley and Kamiyah. His family was the light of his life and brought so much joy to his heart. He is survived by brother and sister-in-law Brian and Kim Dean, also of Kansas City, Ks.
Jimmie looked forward to their "Sunday Fun Days" with wife, children and grandchildren. He loved any outdoor activities including, swimming, camping, and riding his Harley with his wife and motorcycle friends.
He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1986, completed studies at the University of Phoenix, class of 2009. From an early age, Jimmie understood the value of hard work and dedication. Jimmie served with the Franklin County Sheriffs Dept until 2009, when he followed his passion to work as a master mechanic to teach others the skills that he acquired from his dad. He was currently employed with J & S Transmission in Parkville, Mo. he was recently elected President of the Piper Landing HOA.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Jimmie Dean Sr, Maternal grandparents, Merlin and Louella Casteel, paternal grandparents, Harold and Arlene Cowdin.
