Jillian Kate Proctor
1989-2025
Jillian Kate Proctor, aged 36, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Jillian was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter and friend.
Jillian battled a painful, debilitating, and undiagnosed medical condition for many years with strength and determination. In addition, she maintained her sobriety throughout the last 13 years of her life while also dealing with this condition.
Born in Norway, Maine to William (Bill) and Esther Proctor. Jillian attended school in the Oxford Hills School District, graduating from OHCHS in 2007. She attended one year of community college before enrolling in Mr. Bernard’s School of Hair Fashion. After graduating from that program, she became an accomplished cosmetologist, specializing in hair color. She took pride in helping those around her look and feel their best and continued in that role until her health no longer allowed her to do so.
She was an accomplished artist, and her paintings will be proudly displayed in her sister’s home. She loved crafting, reading, enjoyed audiobooks and especially loved all things British, spending hours watching British based shows and movies.
Jillian had an especially soft spot for animals and took great comfort in their presence. She was predeceased by her beloved service dog: Cooper and leaves behind: Ransom, Loki, Thunder and Binx.
Jillian took great pride in the accomplishments of her 2 nieces: Rayne and Harper and her nephew: Bo. She enjoyed watching videos of their sporting and school activities and never missed an opportunity to tell them that she loved them.
Jillian is survived by her parents of Oxford, her sister: Erin Millett and her husband Kyle, nieces: Rayne and Harper and nephew: Bo. She is also survived by her grandmother: Blanche, aunts: Susan, Betty (husband: Garry), Lorie, Godson: Bradyn, Uncle: Sterling, cousins: Shawn, Corrine, Tami, Ashlee and their families.
She was predeceased by her grandfather: Rodney, uncle: John, special friend: Travis, grandparents: Kenneth and Edna as well as several youth acquaintances.
At Jillian’s request, there will not be a memorial service. The family will hold a celebration of her life in the spring.
