Jill Caroline Bunyard, 66, of Lafayette, passed away suddenly on October 11, 2025, following a car accident. Born on April 26, 1959, in Henderson, Kentucky, Jill lived her life with a spirit of adventure and an open heart that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Known for her humor, warmth, and compassion, Jill was truly one of a kind—someone who could light up a room with her laughter and make strangers feel like old friends. Her love for life was evident in everything she did, from cheering on her beloved Indianapolis Colts to spending quiet afternoons sewing or painting. One of her proudest memories was spending two months traveling through Europe, where she embraced new experiences and met people from all walks of life.

Jill is survived by her two brothers, James and Eddie, and sister Peggy who will cherish her memory and the joy she brought into their lives. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Jill’s life will be announced by her family at a later date in December, where friends and loved ones may gather to honor her beautiful spirit
