Jill's obituary
Jill Haruko Auman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the age of 73 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jill was raised surrounded by the warmth of family and the beauty of island life. For more than 20 years, Jill lived away from her family in several of states before moving to California (San Francisco) with Mark, and finally settling in Nevada (Las Vegas) where she once again connected with her family.
This woman was beloved by everyone, especially her family. The deliciousness of her humor, her wisdom, and her strength of devotion to family is remembered by us all. She wasn’t only smart, but committed, dedicated, and loyal to the companies for which she worked and was promoted often. She was talented. If she needed new clothes that she couldn’t afford to buy when she was younger, she made them. She was stylish (her sisters would love to “borrow” her clothes out of her closet). She was humble. She was a beauty which only she could not see. She had a kind and loving heart. While she had no children of her own, she was a loving and thoughtful aunt to her nieces/nephew and the “grands”. She made each one feel special with her kind words and gifts that were handpicked by her.
Known for her love of family, thoughtful nature, and unwavering support, Jill touched the lives of many. Most notably, she took exquisite care of her mother until the day mom passed away. She was also fully devoted to her husband, Mark. He was foremost in her thoughts even when she was her sickest.
We had 73 years, 879 months, 26,370 days, 632,880 hours, 37,972,800 minutes, 2,278,368,000 seconds of her AWESOMENESS!
Jill is survived by Mark, her loving spouse of nearly 50 years, and siblings:
Jackie (Harold) Kittaka: Jonathan & Marcy (Clark), Kevin, Kelsey
Mike (Colleen) Gyotoku: Elisa & Lindsay (Ken), Ren, Lily
Robin (Jeff) Takara: Chelsea (Dan), Aiko, Zar
Jay (Jodie) Gyotoku: Jenna & Jaci (Barron), Brynn
Jill was very adamant that she wanted to go quietly and did not want a service. Her family will reluctantly honor her wishes. If you wish, simply send a card of condolence and words of sympathy to Mark and send it to:
