Jethro Nunnery, 73, passed away after a long struggle with diabetes on January 11, 2019 at Kings County Hospital in Queens, NY.

Jethro was born on November 20, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to the late William and Temperance Nunnery. Jethro graduated from Paul Robeson High School in 1963 and then continued on to receive a Bachelor's degree from Lincoln University and received his law degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Jethro was married to Charlene Scantlebury on July 6, 1975.

He worked as an attorney for The Blanch Law Firm for 25 years. Jethro donated much of his free time to organizations fighting for African American rights.

Jethro is survived by his spouse, Charlene, his daughter, Sh'wan, his granddaughter, Shaquette, and his great granddaughter, Sa'Niyah.
