Jessica Powers, beloved daughter, fiancé, mother, stepmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with heart failure and complications from multiple surgeries. Born on November 8, 1982, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jessica lived a life full of strength, love, and unwavering resilience.

She was well known in her community, working for many years at both Subway and Martin Gas Station, where she formed lasting friendships and left a mark on everyone she met. Whether she was serving customers or lending a hand to someone in need, Jessica did it with a smile, a sharp sense of humor, and a heart full of care. Even after her health forced her to step away, her warmth and loyalty remained felt by those who knew her.

Jessica is survived by her fiancé, Matt Smith; her children Bryson, Justin, and Madison; her stepchildren Abbie, Zoey, and Liz; Her Father Rodney & Step mom Jenine & Brother Jason Powers & Sister n Law Amber and many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Powers, whose spirit and strength she carried with her always.

A memorial service will be held on a later date. 

Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing Jessica is finally free from pain. Her legacy will live on through the love she gave, the strength she showed, and the memories we’ll carry with us forever.
