Jesse Vargas of Grover Beach, CA, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2021 at the age of 57 after a battle with cancer.

Jesse had a passion for music and a love for playing the guitar. He was an outdoor man that enjoyed camping, hiking, and taking photos. He especially appreciated visiting his favorite places, Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park. Jesse loved his job and worked as a steel detailer for over 30 years. He adored his dog, Duke, who was with him until the end. Jesse had several other hobbies such as golfing, wine enthusiasm, skateboarding, and getting together with friends over a barbecue.

Jesse is survived by his three sons, Christopher Vargas, Adam Vargas, and Casey Gannon, his mother, Andrea Reyes, his brothers, Raymond Berlanga, Michael Vargas, Johnny Vargas, and his sisters, Irene Sosa, Maria Duran, and Gloria Griego. *Change in service location* A Celebration of Life will be held at Biddle Park, 3500 Lopez Drive, Arroyo Grande, CA, 93420, in the Willow Bluff space near the back of the park. This friendly and casual memorial will be at July 31, 2021 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Research Institute in his honor. Jesse will be missed by so many who loved him.
