Jesse's obituary
In Loving Memory of Jesse Abbott Pasley
It is with a heavy heart that we announce Jesse Pasley, 33, of New Berlin, WI passed away on October 7, 2024. Jesse was deeply loved, and his family and friends are profoundly saddened by his sudden loss.
Jesse was born on October 1st, 1991, to Amy Berg Pasley and David Pasley in Iowa City, Iowa. Jesse attended both New Berlin Eisenhower High School and Iowa City High, graduating from the latter in 2010. After graduating high school, Jesse studied at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa City and went on to work as an Technical Support Engineer.
Throughout his life, Jesse spent time enjoying a number of his favorite hobbies. During his youth he enjoyed playing sports, and as a driven and talented student he earned his brown belt in karate. In adulthood he loved playing video games with his friends and siblings, loved learning everything he could about history, and was passionate about geology, collecting an impressive cache of rare rocks and minerals. He especially loved collecting agates on the shores of Ten Mile Lake, MN with his family at the Pasley cabin.
Anyone who was lucky enough to know Jesse knows he was the kindest, most genuine person. He always thought of the needs of others, loved to be helpful, and absolutely cherished his close friends and family. He was ever curious, brilliant, and always had a recommendation for the best music, TV, game, or book. There was always something to learn from him.
There are no words that can convey how much we will all miss Jesse. The way his kindness and friendship touched each of our lives is truly special. Jesse’s absence leaves a void that is impossible to fill. He lives on through the love, joy, and memories we shared, and he will live on in our hearts forever.
Jesse is survived by his mother Amy, father David, stepmother Amy S., stepfather Kurt, brothers Kadin and Mitchell, sisters Sophie and Gia, grandparents Clarke and Jonnie, and grandfather Eugene. Jesse is preceded in death by his grandmother Doreen, grandparents Bud and Charleen, and grandparents Goose and Waldy.
