Jesse's obituary

Jesse G Miller went home to be with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior on November 18, 2021 at age 69. He was born in Norway, MI to Gene and Dorothy Miller. The family moved often to accommodate Gene's work as an iron worker. Jesse eventually made his way to Michigan where his love of Notre Dame and their quarterback, Joe Montana, was born. He'd follow Joe throughout his career as a San Francisco 49er and stayed a life long fan of both the 49ers and Notre Dame. Southern California is where he met the love of his life, started his family and eventually settled in IL. He was a God fearing man who sought God's heart going to His throne daily. He loved his Sunday school class and teaching others about Christ. He had a heart for the wayward and lost. He loved telling people about what God did in his life. He enjoyed coaching his daughter's softball and basketball teams. He also loved his dark chocolate and ginger ale. By trade, he was a purchasing manager and said he always loved to spend other people's money. Jesse had multiple strokes in 2017 and lost his vision. As time passed the running joke was when people said good to see you he would say “good to hear you”. No matter what struggles were laid at his feet he always knew God would provide, and his faith is what carried him through. While he is no longer here physically, we take joy in knowing that he can see us now. Jesse was proceeded in death by his parents, infant brother Montgomery and is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy, loving daughter, Taylor, sister Cindy, step mother Barbara, step brother Joe and his wife Linda as well as several nieces and nephews.
