Background
We are heartbroken to share that our son, Jesse Manasseh Magras, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2026, at just 18 years old.
Jesse lived a full life in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His teachers at Lampeter-Strasburg adored Jesse. His co-workers at Chick-fil-A thoroughly enjoyed working with him and being trained by him. He had so many friends, and hung out with them every chance he got; often going to Sheetz after work, going on hikes and midnight fishing trips, having groups over for a fire in the backyard, or going out to eat together.
After completing his high school requirements in January, Jesse moved to the Houston, Texas area to begin building the life he was so excited about—working, going to college, and waiting for his acceptance into the Electrical Union Apprenticeship. He was determined, hopeful, and just getting started. He loved being closer to extended family, the warm weather, and (of course) the food!
In the midst of this unimaginable loss, we are now facing the reality of planning services in two states so that both family and friends can gather to honor him. Along with funeral expenses, we are also trying to make space for the kind of grief support and mental health care our family will need in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
We are asking for help to cover:
- Funeral expenses
- Time away from work during this period of loss
- Ongoing grief and mental health support
If you feel led to give, we are deeply grateful. If you are not able to give, we ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and continue to share memories of Jesse with us. Seeing him through your eyes means more than we can put into words.
More than anything, we want to honor Jesse in a way that reflects who he was and how deeply he was loved.
Thank you for standing with us. Contribute
