Jesse Lee York, born on October 31, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, in her hometown of Memphis at the age of 70.

Jesse was a devoted wife to her husband, Leon York, and a loving mother to her three children: Leon York Jr., Derrick York, and April Smith. She also cherished her role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

Jesse found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for baking, filling her home with the comforting aroma of homemade treats. Her love for gardening was evident in the vibrant blooms and greenery she nurtured with care. Jesse also enjoyed playing spades, sharing laughter and camaraderie with friends and family over countless games.

Her warmth and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those she leaves behind. A Funeral Service will be held on March 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Tree of Life 407 E. Mclemore
