Jesse's obituary
On July 19th, 2021, the illness of addiction that had stolen Jesse Jerimiah Gray's sparkle and smile also took his life. His friends and family will always remember him for the quick-witted, intelligent, loving, and beautiful soul that he truly was.
Jesse, 31, of Salem, West Virginia was a self-proclaimed jack of all trades and master of none. He was an avid lover of batman, spoke fluent sarcasm, and would do anything to get a laugh.
His addiction told him,
"I can make you feel accepted, I can make you feel alright, I can make you feel worthy, I can make you feel normal, I can make you feel loved, I can make you feel nothing, and make you feel like everything will be okay."
What it didn't tell him was how it would devastate his family and tear it apart, take his job and leave him penniless, take his home and make him homeless. How it would take his sparkle and smile, how it would take his humor and how it would take and take and take until it took his life.
Jesse is survived by his former wife Tara Gray and their sons, Jerimiah and Devon Gray, his grandmother Brenda Barnhart, his mother Tammy Gray, his brother Michael Gray, and his nieces Destiny and Taylor Gray.
