Jesse's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Jesse Gordon. Born on June 10, 1971, Jesse lived a vibrant life until his passing on December 9, 2024. A beloved figure in his family and community, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Bridgette Gordon, to whom he was married since 2000. He is remembered as a caring father to their daughter, Suede Evarts. Jesse also leaves behind his siblings, sisters Jacinta Leavitt, Erica Smail, Natalie Humphries, and brother Matthew Baslow. He was predeceased by his parents, Mrs. Suzanne Houle Billado and Richard Gordon.
In 2016, Jesse and his family made the move to Aiken, SC, where he continued to share his love for food, music, sports, and outdoor activities. Jesse, a true connoisseur of life’s pleasures, was particularly fond of his wife's lasagna and smothered chicken. His preferred drinks were Labatt Blue, Mountain Dew, and Jagermeister. An avid music enthusiast, he enjoyed the tunes of Shinedown, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam among others. His favorite sports teams were the New York Giants, New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and Montreal Canadiens.
Jesse had a special place in his heart for fishing, spending quality time with family, and his cherished pitbulls. His life was filled with the simple joys of teaching others to fish and being with the ones he loved. Jesse's greatest achievements were highlighted by his exceptional hunting skills, such as catching a 31-pound female king salmon at the tender age of 16 and teaching his 4-year-old daughter to catch a fish that was bigger than her.
Described as funny, loving, caring, and talented, Jesse's life was an embodiment of perseverance and kindness—towards both people and animals alike. The best lessons he shared were not to give up, love unconditionally, and care for those around you. His legacy is a testament to his unwavering belief that anything is possible.
