Jesse Dewberry, 38, of McCalla, AL, passed away unexpectedly on July 04, 2022.  Jesse was born to Daryl Dewberry and Patricia Bigger Dewberry in Birmingham, AL.  After graduating from Brookwood High School in 2002, he spent a short time in the construction industry.   After a while he decided lawn and landscaping was his passion. Jesse met his forever partner, Laura Mims in [year they met.  Jesse and Laura went on to have two children, Emory Jane Dewberry and Charlie Finch Dewberry.  His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, He enjoyed helping coach his daughter’s softball team and attending little league football games where his daughter was an enthusiastic cheerleader . He was unendingly proud of Laura, Emory, and Charlie and always tried his best to support them.


Jesse was also a passionate Alabama sports fan. Jesse was predeceased by paternal grandmother Doris Dean Dewberry, maternal grandfatherJames Maurice Hall and by his sister Cheryl Evelyn Blankenship. He is survived by his father Daryl Herbert Dewberry, mother Patricia Bigger, brother Daniel Dewberry (Melissa, Drew and Jackson), and niece Juliana Green. There will be a celebration of life service at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home at 4780 Letson Farm Parkway, McCalla, Monday, July 11, 2022.  Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. with the service starting at 6 p.m.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Jesse’s memory.
