My condolences to Marcia, Jill, Kim, and Susan what a loss to all of us but Jerry did leave us all with a lot of great memories. I had the privilege and benefit of pretty much growing up with my cousin Jerry thanks to our dads always keeping the family close regards of what city we grew up in. When Uncle Norm moved the family to Mt Pleasant that’s when I really got to know this character. We played football together, we bussed tables together, we even stuffed turkeys together along with so many other experiences. The truly one common thread in all of those times was that we laughed a lot and always had fun! Jerry was a little older than me but he always treated me just like one of the guys. I will miss Jerry but, his humor and love for others will always be with me. Rest in peace Cuz . Thanks for the memories.   Jt

I am Ron George, Jerry’s oldest cousin on his mother’s side of the family. Jerry and I were very close first cousins, growing up in Northwest Detroit about a mile from each other and never staying out of touch as time passed…Jerry made sure of that. He was a family man through and through, first with his immediate family then with us, his extended family.

One time he showed me a gift he had received from his children, saying in so many ways why they loved him so much. He was very proud of that.

In fact, as I think of it, if I were to describe Jerry in just 2 words, that is what they would be: “Family Man.”

But then there are other memories of Jerry: a great golfer, together with Marcia, creator of idyllic homes for their family in Mt. Pleasant and Rogers City, organizer of family reunions for all of us, his extended family, and just being around with that great sense of humor.

My family and I are very saddened by Jerry’s passing. Yes Jerry we will miss you a lot. We thought you would be with us much longer, but you leave behind a terrific legacy filled with wonderful memories and a loving family – Family Man!

I probably spent more Monday nights with Jerry than anyone else in my life. We always left the alley smiling and there was usually a time or two every Monday night we had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard about something Jerry said. I am saddened by his passing but very fortunate to be able to count Jerry as one of my very dear friends. Paul
Our sincere condolences to you, Marcia,  and your family. We will always fondly remember and cherish the memories we created on our crazy cruise! And the times you opened your hearts and your beautiful home on the lake. We saw Jerry as a kind, loving, funny and compassionate man, who loved with all of his heart and soul. We trust it is smooth sailing for him in heaven now. Many prayers and warm thoughts are being sent your way from some former crew members. Take care. 🙏
I am so sorry to hear this news.  My heart is broken.  Jerry was one of a kind.  He gave me a chance as a kid by giving me a job at Tumas.   I felt welcomed into the Tuma Famiiy and got to see the girls grow up, and attended 1st Presby as well.  I loved Jerry, he and Marcia were great role models for me and I will forever cherish their friendship.  He touched many lives. I will never forget him. ❤️ I’m so sad 😞
