It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Spikes, who left us on April 23, 2023.  Born on February 9, 1949, Jerry was known for his warm spirit, unwavering dedication to his family and boundless generosity to those in need.

Jerry was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and loyal to his Fightin’ Texas Aggies.  He was incredibly proud of his Aggie graduates.  

Jerry will be profoundly missed by his children and wife and all those who he raised and whose lives he touched.  Jerry leaves behind his loving wife Melissa, his children Rebecca (Chris Church,) Cameron (Diane Spikes,) as well as, his stepsons Booky (Brooke) Goebel and Riley (Taylor) Rocha and 6 grandchildren who lovingly called him JPaw.  He is survived by his brothers Jim and Rickey, his sisters Sandy and Dolly and many nieces and nephews.  As a compassionate soul with an infectious smile, Jerry had an uncanny ability to uplift those around him, regardless of their circumstances.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mary Katherine Spikes. 

Jerry's desire to do good in the world and his commitment to family will live on in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of calling him Dad, Pops, JPaw, JYD, husband, friend and mentor.  We will forever cherish the memories and the beautiful legacy that Jerry leaves behind.
