Jerry's obituary

Jerry Victor Savage died on October 18, 2021 after living a life full of service and kindness.

Jerry was born at the Greenfield Hospital in Massachusetts on May 12, 1955 to Franklin Delano Savage and Sandra Louise Berry Savage. He was the oldest sibling of Tommy Savage and Vicki St. Hilaire.

In Massachusetts, he attended Erving Elementary, Mahar Regional School, and L.S. Starrett Company. He then enlisted in the army from 1975-1983. He received an honorable discharge after an injury. Following the discharge, he began studying rights and benefits of disabled veterans and did what he could to serve and teach veterans and others who had been injured about their rights.

He married Melinda Rust Savage in 1980 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At church events he would help with setup and would normally be the last to leave in order to help with cleanup.

With the church, Jerry enjoyed his various callings he had: ward clerk, member of the Sunday School Presidency, Elders’ Quorum secretary, scout committee board member, and ward employment specialist.

Jerry worked many jobs throughout his life but the one he was best know for was being the Tupperware Man. Jerry was an active member of CONNECT Utah a business networking group and volunteered at the Morgan food pantry for many years. He was mindful of how he could help people and loved to serve.

Jerry is survived by wife, six children: David, Justin (Tara), Brandon (Dana), Jeffery (Heather), Matthew (Baillie), and Susanne, seven grandchildren, his mother, and two siblings.

Services for Jerry will be November 1 at 355 N. 700 E. Morgan, UT 84050. There will be a viewing at 11 am and the funeral will be at 12 pm. Masks are required.

Interment will be at the Croydon Cemetery.
