It is with profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Jerry Numaworse, a proud son of the Ewe people, born on June 4, 1979, in Anyako, Volta Region, Ghana, to Dorothy Attipoe and Evans Numaworse.
Jerry’s early years were marked by curiosity, kindness, and a vibrant energy that would define his entire life. He attended Awudome Senior High School (AWUSCO) in the Ho region, where he forged deep, lifelong friendships that he nurtured with unwavering loyalty and love.
Jerry lived a life filled with purpose, passion, and infectious joy. His entrepreneurial spirit and steadfast faith led him to build a successful cashew business—one that not only thrived but opened doors to international opportunity. In 2008, his dedication was recognized by the USDA and Ghana’s Ministry of Agriculture, who selected him to attend multiple conferences and trade shows. This journey took him to the United States, where he would meet the love of his life, Adrienne. They married soon after and built a beautiful life together.
Together, Jerry and Adrienne raised four cherished children: Mackenzie, Mykhari, Jason Kwame, and Jenesis. Their home in North Carolina became a beacon of love, culture, and community.
Jerry remained deeply committed to Ghana and the broader Pan-African mission. He and Adrienne co-founded Renaissance International Ghana, a labor of love dedicated to sharing the richness of Ghanaian culture while cultivating a global Pan-African movement. Through this venture, and countless other efforts, Jerry inspired others to dream boldly and act with purpose.
To know Jerry was to be seen, heard, and uplifted. His light—brilliant, impenetrable, and unwavering—touched all who crossed his path. His legacy lives on in every life he impacted, every heart he healed, and every seed of hope he planted.
Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, Jerry’s spirit endures. We will celebrate his life in every act of kindness, every moment of courage, and every step taken toward a better world. We give thanks to God for the precious gift of Jerry Numaworse—a husband, father, son, friend, and visionary.
