We sadly announce the passing of Jerry Matos, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished friend, who left us on January 17, 2024, after having enriched our lives since his birth on September 27, 1942. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering humor were the foundations of his admirable personality, and they will remain ingrained in the memories of those who knew him.

Jerry lived his life with an open heart, always ready to share a laugh or lend a helping hand. His genuine love and care for those around him made every moment spent with him a treasure. His distinct sense of humor was a gift that he used to lighten hearts and bring smiles to everyone's faces.

He is survived by his loving children and grandchildren. His sons, Dennis Matos and Aristides Matos, carry within them their father's strength, generosity, and inimitable humor. His daughter, Elizabeth Matos, echoes her father's loving nature and radiant spirit in her life. His legacy continues to bloom in his grandchildren, Aristea, Gabrielle, Nicholas, and Nathaniel. They were the apple of their granddad's eye, bringing light and happiness to his life.

The loss of Jerry leaves a profound void, but his life and memory are an inspiration and a beacon of joy to us all. We take comfort in knowing that his love and laughter are embedded in us, and the stories we share of him will keep him alive in our hearts and minds. The world is undoubtedly a little less bright without Jerry, but his vibrant personality and the love he poured into the world will never fade.
