Jerry's obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a beloved soul, Jerry Partin. Born on June 13, 1963, in Toledo Ohio. Jerry departed this world on March 24, 2025. Known fondly as Jerdabear, dad, and papaw by loved ones, he held the preference for his birth name, Jerry. His light, full of smart wit and immense love, will be deeply missed.
Jerry held a profound love for rock and roll music, a hobby that brightened both his own and many others’ lives. He was a master at working on his family’s cars, putting in countless hours to ensure their safety and comfort. Holding hands in the darkness was a cherished activity, creating memories that will forever be remembered. A fan of the roaring engines, he frequently attended muscle car shows, always ready to admire the shining chrome and smooth paintwork.
He leaves behind a legacy full of love, resilience, and perseverance. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Polly, his daughters Brittany and Jessica, and his son Jerry. He was a proud grandfather to Ryitt, Jerrica, DJ, Jaida, and Jacquline, bringing joy and wisdom to their lives. His father Jerry, sister Penny, many in-laws, nieces, and nephews also survive him. His spirit, tenacious and robust, was always '10 ft tall and bulletproof'. His impact on everyone he knew was immense, making his loss a deep crack in the hearts of all who loved him.
Jerry’s legacy of love, humour, and strength will live on through the generations, as we remember him with warmth and gratitude. His absence is a void that can never be filled, but the memories he left behind remain as a beacon of light during these times of grief. He was 'Jerdabear' to many, 'dad' to three, 'papaw' to five, but to all, he was Jerry. And he will be greatly missed.
