Jerry W. Harrison

Milan, Michigan

Age 83, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2024, at Trinity Health – St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 26, 1940, at his home in Pemiscot County, Missouri to William and Dolores (Allen) Harrison. On November 8, 1957, he married Carolyn Sue Stogsdill in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and they had four children together; she preceded him in death on August 31, 2006. On December 12, 2009, he married Cindy Lou Freese, and she survives.

As a young boy, he was a hard worker, who received recognition as a newspaper carrier. Jerry’s family moved to Michigan when he was a teenager, where he attended and graduated from Willow Run High School in 1957. Following high school, he began working for the Ford Ypsilanti Plant, where he worked through his career, retiring as a supervisor in 1991. Jerry always loved to be outdoors and took pride in mowing his lawn. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, coaching little league baseball for his sons, and being with family. His family was most important to him and he loved when they were together.

Besides his wife Cindy, he is survived by three children: Pam (Bernie) Bruckner of Tipton, Michigan, John (Nancy) Harrison of Milan, Michigan, and Tonya Osborne of Hughes Springs, Texas; four step-children: Jennifer (Miro), Jeffrey, Jason (Autumn), and Jonathan; eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Lisa, Kim, Cindy, Ben, Bradley, Nicole, and Jay; six step-grandchildren: Makayla, Elle, Alexandra, Ava, Aubri and Alexia, 16 great-grandchildren: Brendon, Debbie, Logan, Ethan, John, Austin, Cambon, Mason, Emma, Aliza, Lucas, Kenzie, Raygan, Jolene, Laney, and Jackson, a great-grandchild, Kashis, a brother, Wm. Glenn (Laura) Harrison of Florida, a sister-in-law, Bonnie and several nieces and nephews, along with his beloved dogs, Jack and Roxie also survive.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue, two children, Bruce and Debra Ann, a brother, David, his father, William Bruce Harrison, mother, Dolores Rinks, and step-father, Ephriam Rinks.

Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Stony Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Marble Park Cemetery.
