Jerry's obituary
Full of life, love, and adventure, Jerry was the kind of man who was willing to try anything at least once. He loved camping, fishing, golfing in summertime and skiing during the winter months. Jerry was a firm believer in "taking-it-slow" and not miss out on what Mother Earth has to offer. However, when it came to his love for classic cars, anyone who has driven with him knows “slow” was never an option.
Jerry was the kind of father that every child could dream of and the kind of man who would take the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He dedicated his life's work in the substance abuse field helping others find self-actualization and stability in their lives through rehabilitation. He had the undeniable ability to make people feel loved and believed in; a quality demonstrated to his family on a regular basis.
Jerry was a man of faith spending most of his mornings in quiet prayer. He would often say, “God was watching over me that day” when talking about near death experiences throughout his life. His gift for telling a good story would draw you near and leave you wanting to hear more. Carried on by his family, his legacy will continue on through these stories.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Laura, his children Jenifer, Stacy, Corey, daughter in-law Jessica, sisters Nikki and Dena, and (9) grandchildren.
