Jerry's obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jerry L. Buxbaum, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jerry was born on October 30, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to Jerome and Elaine Buxbaum. Jerry joined his loving parents in Heaven on March 21, 2025.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Steen, their two children, Trone and Lilah, his eldest son Brandon Cervantes, daughter-in-law Heather and their two children, Ashton and Ella.

In life, Jerry's strong personality was a fierce blend of passion, intensity, love, and caring. His optimistic spirit touched many lives. Jerry's smile, laughter, and storytelling will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jerry followed his passions with a childlike excitement and joy. He was a carpenter, a founding member of the Portland Water Spectacular and Stars on Water Show Ski Teams, the owner of Dock Start Ski School, a SAG Stunt Coordinator, Special Effects Coordinator, Producer, Actor and the Co-Owner of the Mystery Ridge Movie Ranch. Jerry did his best to always lead by example with a never-give-up, always move forward attitude toward all of life's obstacles.

A Celebration of Life in his honor will be held on April 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Mystery Ridge Movie Ranch in Coeur D' Alene, ID. We invite all who knew and loved Jerry to join us in celebrating his life and the tremendous impact he had on everyone around him.

Jerry's legacy goes beyond his personal achievements and stretches into the deep connections and relationships he nurtured.

May his soul rest in peace, and his legacy continue to inspire us all.
