Jerry taught me to water ski at Dock Start, then he taught me to teach water skiing. We joked about renaming the ski school to Ebony and Ivory Ski School! He was the most giving person i have ever met and wanted everyone to be their best version. He was great at everything he did and I was amazed at all of the things he just knew how to do. He was like McGiver on steroids. Just a great man and I'm in shock and saddened of this news. Heaven gained a superstar. Rest in Love Jerbear!

Jerry getting ready to blow up a door...
This is devastating news.  We had the opportunity to live by Jerry at Casselman’s Wharf on the river in Oregon.  Always such an amazing, fun neighbor.   Remember  Jerry and his father in law showing up to our Halloween costume party late, wearing police uniforms and entering our home and loudly stating to keep it down or someone was going to be arrested.  So so sorry Amanda, Trone and Lilah…such a loss.

Like many, I have a last text from Jerry regarding a project, and, as I have learned from others, the upbeat optimism comes through with an "Okay!" May his memory be a blessing, and may the energy he brought to the filmmaking community be a long-lasting legacy.

Jerry and Team Insight
Mr. Jerry was one of my favorite people. I always loved seeing his smiling face inside and outside the dojo. He was such an incredible person and an amazing friend. No matter what the challenges were in the Saturday Kicking, Demo or Sparring classes he tried to do them all. We called him “Rebar” because he was on the stiffer side but that didn’t stop him one bit. I loved watching him improve and succeed over the past years and loved hearing the stories and seeing his expertise in stunts and films throughout my time knowing him. It was truly a pleasure and a blessing. Rest In Peace Rebar. You will forever be missed and loved.

My heart hurts for you Amanda, Trone, Lilah and all that loved him so.  What  great landlords/friends you were to me.  I'm thankful for those days of getting to know the family, feeling secure (especially with the big tank truck out front!), playing with the kids etc.  Jerry took it upon himself to call his friend at Ford when my truck was needing repairs.  Looking out for all.

Praying for you all.  Much love  Nancy

Know somehow you're rigging the next greatest stunt- the plane of time couldn't keep you here... go kick butt in the next adventure, Jerry.  Thanks to you and Amanda for sharing your joy, passion for all things, and amazing humor- til the next evolution 🍻
See you on the other side my fellow Chicago Scorpio..❤️
