Jerry's obituary
Mr. Andrews was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Cleon Retus Andrews and the late Annie Dell Waller Andrews. He graduated from Washington County High School in 1962, where he served as class president. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Viet Nam. He spent his working career in the Kaolin Industry working for Cypress and Kentucky-Tennessee in the land and mining department. In retirement, Jerry worked for both Henson's Bait and Tackle and Forehand Sports. He was a longtime and active member of Sisters Baptist Church where he served as a church deacon and Sunday School teacher. Hunting and fishing were among his favorites, however he most cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Susie May Andrews of Tennille; sons, Jeremy Andrews and his wife Emily of Sandersville and Brent Andrews and Laura McGreevy of Athens; and grandchildren, Lillie Tate Andrews, Wynn Andrews, Ella Andrews, Ned Andrews, Coriander McGreevy, Lilly McGreevy and Finn McGreevy.
