I am so grateful that 42 years ago Jerry married my best friend, Cheri which changed her and Michelle's lives forever. His love, wisdom, intelligence and many talents were so amazing to everyone he knew. It was impossible to spend time with Jerry and not come away without thinking....how does he have so much knowledge in his head that he loves to share with all of us?? He always told his stories and travels with such care; it made us feel as though we were right there with him. From crabbing at the coast, to walking on The Great Wall in China, to writing the book that he wrote about growing up in Washington. Thank you Jerry for being such a glowing example of what it means to have be a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, Great American and friend. You will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Thank you for all the beautiful meals as well as the good times we were able to share with you and Cheri over the years, right up until our last visit just 3 weeks ago. I will always remember all we shared about life that afternoon. Rest peacefully now Jerry. The last 4 years have been full of strife that you handled with so much dignity. Until we meet again. Love, Chris and Emery
