Jerome “Jerry” Shapiro of Buckeye AZ, formerly of Kankakee, IL, passed away on July 26, 2024 at the age of 70. Jerry is survived by his spouse Jan (nee Sessa), sons David and Daniel (Samantha), brothers Todd (Leslie) and Richard (Michelle) and a number of nieces and nephews.

Jerry graduated from Eastridge High School, then went on to get his BA in History from Northern Illinois University and JD from Drake University. He practiced Law in Kankakee before moving to Arizona.

Jerry was very involved throughout his life with the Elks, eventually reaching the position of Chief Justice of the Forum. He, also, was a lifelong White Sox fan and loved to spar with his brothers who were Cubs fans.

He was preceded in death by his father Milton “Mimie” and mother Dorothy (nee Hefter).

Services will be held on Aug. 01, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Sinai Mortuary of Arizona, Phoenix, At.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Elks National Foundation or a charity of your choice.
