Known to many as JJ, Jerome began his life in North Carolina. After joining the Navy, JJ traveled to California where he was stationed. It was there where he met Sandy. Sandy was originally from Italy and she loved the southern charm from JJ. They went on to have three children; Deana, Maleika, and Marquelle. Although the marriage did not last, Jerome and Sandy maintained a solid friendship through the love of their many grandchildren. For many years Jerome bred pit bulls and loved showing people how well mannered they were if treated right. Jerome loved fishing with his grad children and going to eat at his favorite restaurant, Applebee's. He is survived by his three children, girlfriend Phyllis and his grandchildren; Ronald, Jade, Devonte, Aaron, Jeremiah, Nasean, Deandra and Zeaundre.

My Life's been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
