Jerome's obituary

Jerome L. "Jerry" Fabry passed away at 7:35am on Monday, April 29th in Scottsdale, Arizona, surrounded by members of his loving family, after a long battle with cancer and multiple other debilitating conditions and complications.

Jerry was in relative peace and comfort as he spent his last hours on this Earth. Shortly after dawn, a bright light shone into his room, and God's angels lifted up his soul and transported it into the presence of our one almighty and ever-loving Lord. The heavens rejoiced at the arrival of the newest saint into his eternal home, where he belongs and deserves to be, and will dwell with God forever.

Those of us still here on Earth are saddened that we will never be in Jerry's vibrant, powerful, loving, thoughtful, and caring presence again, until we, too, reach the point of our own transition into Heaven.

However, we are extraordinarily happy for Jerry, who was an outstanding, son, brother, husband, father, friend, employer and servant to so many people for so long, and now gets his just reward to spend all of eternity in the presence of God, whom he loved so deeply and served so well, where he will never suffer even a moment of pain or discomfort or sickness ever again.

A native of Milwaukee, Jerry graduated from Bay View High School and became a life-long successful entrepreneur, serving thousands of happy clients as the owner-operator of nearly a dozen beauty salons in and around the city.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen (nee Symko), his daughters Michele (Steve) Sipress and Lisa (Kraig) Huennekens, his step-granddaughters Jami (Jonathan) Peszko and Jordan Huennekens, his brothers Bob (Carole), Jim, Ray, and John (Debbie), and his sisters Lois (Dennis) Hegman and Kathy (Tom) Steinberger. Jerry will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, employees, clients, and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Jerry on Friday, May 10, at Noon, at St. Jerome Parish, 995 S. Silver Lake Street, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, with Father Tom Brundage presiding. A viewing will take place immediately before from 10:00am to Noon.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Kathleen Fabry, 3403 E. Main St. #236, Mesa, AZ 85213.

Give Jerry eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him forever.

May he rest in peace. Amen.
