Jerome Edward Aaron Busch 1975 - 2023

It is with a profound sadness we share that Jerome Edward Aaron Busch, 47, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away suddenly on February 1st, 2023 after experiencing some serious medical issues.

Jerome was born on September 16th, 1975 to Pauline and Lennard Busch in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Jerome grew up loving the outdoors and nature and spent much time hunting, fishing and trapping. He loved sports particularly hockey and golfing. Jerome was also a voracious reader often getting books by the box full. Usually very quiet and reserved when he did speak, he could amaze with the breath of his knowledge and understanding of issues. In 1992, Jerome met Cecilia Baker in Winnipeg. Jerome and Cecilia went on to have four children, Jerome Jr., Alexis, Savannah and Sumayya.

Jerome was predeceased by his Grandparents Verna and Louis Bonner and John Edward Alexander Busch. Uncles Moses, Russel, Clarence and Brian Bonner, Willie Moose, and Lawrence Busch; Aunts Lillian and Matilda Bonner.

Jerome is survived by; his son Jerome (Sage), his daughters; Alexis and granddaughters Evelynn and Synodell; Savannah and grandson Rey; and youngest daughter Sumayya.

His siblings; Sister Angela (Justin) Levasseur and their children Frederick (Jacqualine) Kosmolak and grandniece Heidi; Maddison, Kayda, Kazelyn, and Justin Jr.

Frank (Angie), nephews Alexander, Evan, and Gabriel; Nick Busch, traditionally adopted brother Andrew Niven and niece Cheyanne, Robert Busch and nephews Nathaniel and Edmund, Louis (Lisa) and their children Sophia and Felix, Jared (Giselle) and sister Elaina.

Maternal family members Lamont (Thelma) Bonner; Margaret (Willie) Moose, Myrtle (Donald Dysart), John (Linda) Bonner, Louis (Lana) Bonner, Ivy (Leo) Paterson, Heather (Luke) Bonner.

Paternal family members: Grandmother Amy Busch, Jerome (Sharon) Busch, Angela Busch, Roberta (Julian) Pobran, Frances (John) Brunskill, Lorraine (Richard) Bent, Mary Busch and Andrea (Dale) Fleischfresser. And also, numerous cousins and extended family members.

Services will be held St. Kateri Tekakwitha Aboriginal Church, 265 Flora Ave., Winnipeg Manitoba on February 17th at 11:30 AM Manitoba time (CST) officiated by Reverend Arokia Vijay. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
