Jeremiah's obituary
Jeremiah Daniel Smeby, was born on March 26, 1974 in Lancaster, California and lived in Palmdale for three years, then moved to Martinez. He lived a life filled with selflessness, kindness, and lighthearted moments. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandpa, and a loyal friend to those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeremiah loved spending time with his family, watching movies, exploring different music genres, and was an exceptional cook. He was a lifelong learner and taught himself many different skills. He'd always lend a helping hand whenever anyone had car troubles and was truly a jack of all trades. Over the years, Jeremiah built countless connections with coworkers and members of the community during his time as a butcher for over 25 years.
Jeremiah is survived by two daughters, Krisanna and Naomi, and two sons, Edwin and Yahir. He was an exemplary parent, always offering guidance and warmth, sharing life lessons that were both profound and practical.
One of the most significant teachings Jeremiah imparted was the importance of stepping out of one's comfort zone, as it was in those moments that true growth and learning occurred. He imparted many different lessons to those around him that will be remembered and cherished.
In his memory, let us continue to practice kindness, generosity, and love towards one another in our daily lives. Jeremiah will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on through the countless hearts he touched during his time with us.
