Jeremiah's obituary

Jeremiah Lyons Burns passed away unexpectedly at his home in Raleigh, North Carolina at 68 years old. Jerry was born on January 9th, 1955 in Lexington, Massachusetts and grew up in the Nabnasset Neighborhood of Westford, Massachusetts. Jerry spent 37 years living in Nashua, NH with his wife and two daughters. He was a prominent figure in the Nashua cycling community where he worked at Goodale's Bike Shop for 15 years. In addition to his passion for cycling, Jerry loved boating, coaching, hiking, and skiing. Above all else, Jerry loved nothing more than his family and spending time with them, so in April of 2022, Jerry and Cindy moved to Raleigh, NC to enjoy retirement and be with their daughters.

He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Cynthia Burns, his daughter Shannyn Burns of Raleigh, NC, his daughter Bryanna Connelly and her husband Kevin Connelly of Raleigh, NC. He also leaves behind his sister Paula Ritchotte of Tiverton, RI, Elizabeth Howard of Cape Coral, FL, his brother Edward Burns Jr, of Windham, NH, and Daniel Burns, of Hampstead, NH, in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and beloved friends. He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Gladys Burns of Westford, MA. Jerry’s family will host a celebration of life on Sunday, February 12th, at The Event Center at Hampshire Hills in Milford, NH from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Trans New Hampshire Muscular Dystrophy Association.
