Jerald's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jerald R. Loud, Sr., who peacefully left this world on December 12, 2023. Born on November 2, 1940, in Anderson, Texas to Elliott and Celestine Loud. Jerald lived a fulfilling life with laughter, joy, and endless love for his family.  He grew up with his six brothers and two sisters, and enjoyed good food, wine and great company. He enjoyed living in Colorado and spending weekends in the mountains and crafting furniture and other masterpieces to create a beautiful yard and garden. Throughout his life, he carried himself with dignity, honor and respect - always maintaining high standards.

He is survived by his adoring wife, Eliane Loud, and his children Roderick Loud, Jacquelyn Ventura, Atlon A. Diarra, Brandye Rhone, Terry Scott Rhone, Racquel Garcia, Janel Loud-Mahany and his brothers Joe and Willie Loud, and his sister Lois Singletary.  Preceding him in death are his parents, his brothers Elliott, Lewis Scott, Raymond and Chester, his sister Georgia Creeks, and his children Jarielyn Loud and Jerald R. Loud, Jr.

Jerald's warmth, wisdom, and support contributed to the growth and success of his children. His delight in watching the achievements and happiness of his children and grandchildren was palpable and a testament to his humble accomplishments.  He had recently become a great grandfather.

Jerald was a man of great character, often best described as funny, tender-hearted, and level-headed. His joyfulness was infectious, lighting up any room with his radiant personality and unique sense of humor. His laughter was like no other; it had the power to uplift spirits, bring smiles to faces, and create an atmosphere of pure happiness.

Throughout his life, Jerald shared many valuable lessons, one of the most important being his firm belief in the notion that effort would eventually be rewarded. He also shared many lessons on etiquette and professionalism from his years of work.

On January 21, 2024, we will gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Jerald at 11:00 AM at the Blackstone Country Club. It is not a time to mourn Jerald's passing, but rather honor his life, filled with love, laughter, and immense strength. His eternal optimism, infectious laughter, and brilliant character will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
