I first worked with Jennyann in 2021, helping her launch Paint is Thicker Than Water, a "paint night" business. When I think back to that time, I think of her kindness, her willingness to be open and lead with what mattered most to her - creativity. Not just for her, but for all.
She was an artist and teacher, here to make her Big Dreams come true and help others. She wrote to me then that she wanted to "support youths and adults wellbeing through the arts" and you saw that mission - that passion! - in her commitment to her business.
And no matter what she was going through, she showed up. She came to almost every call in a 4 monthly period and then would often be present in our alumni group. She was an integral part of our community and we are feeling her loss.
Rest in peace, our friend. We'll make our art and think of you, always.

I was so sorry to hear about Jennyann's passing. As many of you, I will remember her as one of the kindest persons I've ever met.

Sending love and condolences I would always meet with Jennyann at the steam and after school network meetings and she’s the one that inspired us to do the resident science projects. She was kind, passionate, and advocate. She will be missed, but her light will shine on!

My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Jennyann was my illustrator friend. We met at an SCBWI event and decided to form an illustrator critique group; we met monthly. It was a special space we shared. I quickly learned how kind, creative, and driven she was. Jennyann knew of many resources and was ready to share with all. It seemed like she wanted everyone to succeed in what they loved. I was so looking forward to being done with graduate school this December so we could resume our illustrator critique/support group. I’m heartbroken to know that I will not be able to share that special space again with her. But I’m so grateful that she was part of my children’s book illustration journey and always will be. Thank you Jennyann.
