Jennifer's obituary
In Loving Memory of Jennifer Casci
August 9, 1980 – April 16, 2026
Jennifer Leigh Casci, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on April 16, 2026, at the age of 45, after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer. Though her time here was short, the life she lived was full, meaningful, and deeply impactful to everyone who knew her.
Jenn was the cherished wife and companion of Nick Casci and a proud, loving mother to her children — Maya Miller, Molly Miller, Rusty Miller, and Ella Casci — who were the center of her world. They knew her as their biggest cheerleader, toughest coach, and most loyal supporter. Jenn is also survived by her mother, Linda Mariani, five siblings, and eighteen nieces and nephews.
Jenn lived by a simple yet powerful motto: “Get up and show up.” She didn’t just say those words—she embodied them. Every morning began with determination, pushing herself as a fitness enthusiast and dedicated CrossFit athlete who valued strength in both body and mind. That same discipline and drive carried into every area of her life.
Jennifer found joy in the simple and meaningful things — raising animals, tending to her garden, and building a beautiful life alongside Nick on their beloved Blended Ag Farm in San Andreas. She loved the outdoors and felt most alive hunting in the backcountry, embracing both the challenge and the peace it brought her. She wholeheartedly treasured herfriendships, valuing them as one of life’s greatest gifts. With loyalty, love, and consistency, the bonds she built often lasted a lifetime.
Her life was marked by service and leadership. Jennifer was the owner of Jenny Wren Preschool, where she nurtured and influenced young lives with care and intention. She also served as an EMT with American Legion Ambulance, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University, founded Jeppy’s Foods, and worked as the Director of Integrated Waste for Calaveras County. She was deeply committed to community betterment projects, always looking for ways to uplift and improve the world around her. If something needed fixing, organizing, improving, or leading, Jenn was always one step ahead, pairing vision with action to create meaningful change.
To know Jenn was to be inspired by her positivity, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Even in the face of illness, she continued to encourage others, light up a room with her smile, and show up for life. She taught us to live fully, love deeply, and not make excuses along the way.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. In honor of Jennifer, may we all carry forward her message to “get up and show up”, and to live each day with heart.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
