I was in the process of trying to find the daughter of a friend of mine. We were  good friends for many years as our children were close to the same ages. He is a beloved teacher and all of his friends knew our  daughters, Jennifer who, as far a I know, is still alive but my Jennifer is not!

That’s a snippet of background which leads me to this: my daughter passed away unexpectedly at age 44. She had four children and a devoted husband. When I saw the name Jennifer Cyr  passed away I was deeply moved thinking it was my friends daughter. And I am still wondering why such loved and gifted ones are taken from us! It  was October 2022 when my daughter Jennifer lost her life.

So much happens to you when you lose a loved one. My daughter passed at age 44. My birthday is August 5, 1946.

I am with pain and know how much it hurts to this day. I don’t think I will be completely without the sting of loss. All I can say is that god blessed me with wonderful grandchildren. If not for them and their parents I would probably just lose the will to go on!

We have never met and we will probably never meet but I feel close to you in heart, soul and mind! I wish you peace and blue skies…

As a kindred spirit and one that you have never met but just know this, my heart is with you all, forever!

Jim

Dear Alicia

I didn’t personally know Jennifer but reading the post here I can see she was very loved and missed by many.

I hope you can find some comfort in knowing the Bible promises a time John 5.28 29 when our loved ones will be resurrected and death will be no more. Revelation 21.3 and 4

When these promises are fulfilled it will be a wonderful time for anyone who has lost a loved one

So Jen, it would be a lie if I said I knew you well under society’s definition. Because I only had the honor to meet you once. But I can say that I did know you well under different terms. Under the terms of prayer, concern, empathy and love for you. A person I never knew closely. And the day I met you, I was hesitant to ask you for a hug because I didn’t want you to think I was a crazy weird unknown lady asking too much and invading your personal space lol. But I did ask you. And you said yes. And I am forever thankful that things played out that way. After losing my mom, I learned quickly that we should make sure to never have regrets before its too late. Thankfully I had only a few with her. But I saw how quickly we can lose a loved one. So once again, im glad I asked you for that hug. My soul can rest well knowing I was able to transmit the love I felt for you in that hug. See you one day soon Jen. Be ready for a second hug.

Your distant but yet so close acquaintance, Jessica

Sweet, smart, thoughtful Jen…I admired you for your leadership in your family, your maturity and poise, your wisdom. I wish I got to know you better but I do know your sisters and your parents, and they all miss you so very much. Only God knows why things happen the way they do, and He is Trustworthy and He is Love.
